1. What we collect
We only collect what we need to run a diagnostic test correctly and get the report back to you.
Information you give us
- Identity & contact details — name, age, sex, phone number, and (if you provide one) email address and home address for sample collection.
- Clinical information — the tests requested, the prescription or referral from your doctor, relevant symptoms, medication and fasting status.
- Booking details — preferred date and time slot, and whether you want home collection or a visit to our centre.
Information generated by us
- Test results and reports produced by our laboratory, along with the sample identifiers linked to them.
- Billing records — amount charged, payment mode and receipt number. We do not store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank credentials.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data when you browse this website — browser type, device type, approximate location by city and the pages you viewed. This is used in aggregate only and is not linked to your health records.
2. How we use your information
- To register your test, collect and process your sample, and prepare an accurate report.
- To contact you about your booking — confirming a slot, arranging home collection, or telling you a report is ready.
- To share the report with you and, where you have asked us to, with your referring doctor.
- To raise a bill, issue a receipt and maintain accounts as required by law.
- To answer your questions, handle complaints and improve our services.
We do not sell your data
Kamini Clinic & Labs never sells, rents or trades your personal or health information to advertisers, data brokers or any other third party for marketing.
3. Reports and medical records
Your test report is released only to you or to a person you have authorised. When you collect a report in person, we may ask for the booking reference or a photo ID to confirm identity. Digital reports are sent to the phone number or email address recorded at the time of booking, so please check those details carefully when you book.
If a report needs to be corrected — for example a spelling in your name or a wrong age — tell us and we will re-issue it. Where a sample needs to be re-tested, we will explain why before you are charged anything further.
4. When we share information
We share your information only in these situations:
- With your referring doctor, where the test was ordered on their prescription or you asked us to send the report to them.
- With partner reference laboratories, when a specialised test is outsourced. Such labs receive only the sample and the minimum details needed to run and report the test.
- With service providers who help us operate — for example an SMS or email gateway used to deliver reports, or our accounting software. They are permitted to use the data only for that purpose.
- Where the law requires it — a court order, a statutory notifiable-disease reporting obligation, or a lawful request from a government authority.
5. How we protect your information
- Physical records and sample registers are kept in the centre, accessible only to authorised staff.
- Digital records are stored on password-protected systems, with access limited to staff who need it for their work.
- All staff, including phlebotomists who visit your home, are bound by a duty of medical confidentiality.
- Payment transactions are handled by the payment provider directly; we do not see or store your full card or bank credentials.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we review our practices regularly and act promptly on any issue that is reported to us.
6. How long we keep it
We keep test records and reports for the period required under applicable Indian medical record-keeping and taxation rules, and for as long as they may reasonably be needed for your continuing care — typically a minimum of three years from the date of the test. Billing records are kept for the period required by tax law. After that, records are securely destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access — ask for a copy of the reports and personal details we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix any detail that is wrong or out of date.
- Withdraw consent — tell us to stop sending promotional messages, or to stop sharing a report with a particular doctor.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal details, subject to the record-keeping periods described in section 6.
- Complain — raise a concern with us directly using the contact details below.
To exercise any of these, call us on the numbers below or visit the centre with a valid photo ID. We aim to respond within seven working days.
8. Cookies and website data
This website uses only what is necessary to display pages correctly. It does not run advertising trackers or sell browsing data. If we later add analytics to understand which pages are useful, that data is aggregated and never joined to your health records. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work.
9. Children and minors
Tests for anyone under 18 are booked and consented to by a parent or legal guardian, and reports are released to that parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child through this website.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Significant changes affecting how we handle your health information will also be displayed at our centre.
